The signals are weak. A few months ago my setup was in a village 10km east from my current location, there the signal was stronger for these pirates, but I have moved the setup to my home because the LED street lights in the village ruined the nighttime reception.
I have a 15 element yagi antenna which is quite directional even in V polarization. These pirates only appear if I move the antenna towards the north (Ukraine). It is the strongest from the northern direction, in NE/NW it is weaker but still audible. In other directions there is nothing.
When I had my antenna in the village I clearly remember that the pirates worked 24/7, but here they only seem to appear during the night, it might just be the lack of signal, I am not sure.
I would be very grateful if you could have someone check it, preferrably during the evening or night.

It is from somewhere north, my best guess would be Mirzhir'ya, because the signal level from there is similar, but it could be from anywhere in the north direction.
The transmitter is surely something small and cheap, because the audio interrupts very often, but the carrier remains.
I checked FMList and I saw that there was a transmitter on 98.3MHz that is no longer in use, my second theory was that they are using that. My first thought was the same as yours, that it is some small transmitter in one of our villages, but that theory was proven wrong when I brought the antenna to my home in the middle of the city 10km away and I still receive it from the northern direction.

I switched the big antenna's direction back to Uzhhorod/Hungary because I lost the cable adapter needed for two antennas.
My internet provider randomly decided to switch me to CGNAT, which makes running the server impossible.
I tried restarting the router like 15 times today, I still get a bad IP. I don't have a credit card to buy a tunnel
For now, the server cannot run. I will come back if I find any solution

The problem was the fact that it was impossible to open public ports because of the CGNAT (The public IP and the internal IP are different). I was already using No-IP to sync the dynamic IP and route the domain to it
I got access to a tunnel and I will make the server online again tonight.

In a few days I will have to remove the antenna from the roof and find an alternative solution. The reception will be different - it might even be better at ground level because of the lower noise levels there. If that doesn't work out, I already tested a small 3 element antenna in the attic which has decent performance.

I can use the 3 element antenna in the attic in the same direction, though the reception is not as good.
I turned the server on right now, I'm interested in the new 92.5 station but radia maria from romania will probably be on the frequency, can't wait to put the big antenna in function again.

As I expected, maria on 92.5, no Armiya FM :( It's a simple 3 element antenna after all, I didn't expect much

Server back with the Körner 15.12 in V. RadioNV 104.1 works well, it should get RDS with some light tropo. 94.1 Melodiya has no chance (94.0 local), 104.7 Svit works with RDS
Sometimes there is interference from neighbors, but it disappears.
Fixed some bent elements on the yagi and aimed it for half an hour :)
I managed to null out some unwanted stations, lux 105.2 and svit 104.7 are now both perfect with RDS, 101.6 zakarpattya has very strong signal, digi fm has no chance to appear, 102.5 actualitati is weak now too, krayina fm 102.4 has stereo
Edit: it improved A LOT, there are new stations as well, it is worth checking the entire band, 88.9 Nashe is very strong now

Today my local 87.9 is not working, so we have the last station from Uzhhorod that I could not receive!
I noticed that their audio feed interrupts sometimes, like every few minutes.
So join and let's enjoy this Shlyager FM until the local station doesn't come back :)
Next week I will be able to bring back the server to a village.
This means that:
- Ukraine stations will be able to come over the mountains, reception of Lviv, IVFK and much more
- LED street lamps will damage the band at night, only strong stations will be good
- Local stations from Satu Mare will be weaker, allowing for the reception of MelodiyaFM Uzhhorod, SvitFM Mukachevo.
- Russian pirate evangelical stations will be received again (RadioMV 98.3, etc)
I am not sure about the new ArmiyaFM on 92.5, because radio maria on the same frequency has 15-20dBf of signal, and here in the city there is no sign of ArmiyaFM at all, although they said that it is running since January 1.
The server is now at the new location. The LED interference is crazy at night. I will try to put the antenna further away from the lights in the future. The signals are strong. RadioMV pirates work on 98.3, but it can be barely heard from the LEDs right now. Radio7 88.6 Lysychovo has feed problems.

interesting phenomenon regarding the RadioMv 98.3 pirate, in the morning something is disturbing it, some silence. It would logically be retro radio from miskolc, but I don't hear it + the antenna is V not H. After 11-12AM or so it begins to work normally (although their audio feed dies off like every minute for 10 seconds). After 17:00 or so of course it's not possible to receive it on my side because of local interference.
Most transmitters have a 50-60Hz background hum, but this pirate has a higher tone, which makes me think that it's some lower grade transmitter (I don't think it has RDS either, because I have received it with clear 25dBf+stereo once in the past and thete was nothing). One thing that is clear is that this transmitter is not far away, it is just weak. The signal never fades, and in the car it already appears at the Ukraine border zone. I really wish someone inside Zakarpattia could pinpoint its location

another interesting thing is that while there is silence, the audio seems to be mono (single line carrier?), sadly I can't check it on an SDR right now, maybe the signal is just too weak
Іnteresting situation with pirate radio. In Tyachev, Dobryanskyi and Dubovo, the signal is not received by a regular digital household receiver. Is the fact that the signal is not broadcast from Romania definitely excluded?

Here in the city the signal is not received with a TEF+telescopic antenna, I could only receive it with a 15 element yagi on the roof (15+ meters). At the village where the server is now it's currently received with a 3 element antenna on the roof (10m approx).
In the car, in the city there is nothing. Once you go north to the Ukraine border it starts appearing, but still very weak. I made a YouTube video where I receive it in the car (1 meter telescopic antenna on car) - in the village Bercu Nou.
Someone should try it in the Vinohradiv/Khust area, because there it will work 100% with a car receiver.
I haven't gone to the northeast part of the border yet, but if you say that they don't receive it in Dobryanske then that's disappointing : (

I don't think it's from Romania but it's not impossible. It would make more sense to be from Ukraine because of what is being transmitted + it only appears in cars when going close to the border.
Friend from Yaremche told me he doesn't receive it either. Makes sense if it didn't work in Dobryanske/Tyachiv/Dobovo either :/

We asked the electrician that puts them up and he said that he is given these cheap chinese models and he can only legally put these up, and that he doesn't want to play with his job. Antenna upgrade complete. Ukraine antenna now aimed N-NE. Interference between approx 17:30-08:00. Hungary/Slovakia antenna installed, H polarization.
I receive Lviv and Buchach again via scatters - Fayne Misto 87.5. There will be probably Ternopil and much more with tropo.
If you want to receive anything impressive please try during the day, the Hungary antenna is at 4 meters, the Ukraine antenna is at around 15+ meters so it picks up more interference.

People keep trying Uzhhorod stations on the server, the antenna is aimed north so they will not work well. I'm sure the new Uzhhorod server will be full with users when it opens, it's a high demand location apparently haha

Receiving Lvivska Khvylia 104.4 today as well. The signal is a little stronger today, but nowhere near clear. The problem is that this station has very wide modulation (classic Zakarpattya), and it is next to UR1 Velyki Bereznyi which is also very wide..
15:56 - It's becoming stronger, locking the server for a while.
16:13 - it didn't get stronger than 12dBf, server unlocked
After the continuous bullying from FMDX .org staff, I had enough. I am removing the server from their services forever (tunnel, map) please avoid this community... The servers will be accessible only from the domains. Same for the Uzhhorod server (coming soon, approx one week).
The new domains will be as follows:
